~ from Your Workplace Story: Exceeding the Norm (part 1)

I want to talk about flourishing in society. I want to stir up hopeful inspiration for the majority of believers who spend most of their day outside of the church walls and outside of the prayer room. It’s where most believers spend their time—with family, friends, or co-workers.

Unique worship—honoring and loving God—will shine among sons and daughters who function as righteous “kings” in business, in the educational system, in government. Believers who know they are created by Father God to thrive in society, in their everyday culture, are aware of who they are in Him. God is opening doors into the realm of possibilities for every marketplace believer to know who they are in Him and to know God in the midst of their workplace activities.

Go into all the world! We adore Jesus’ action-declaration given to each of us. But can we really do this in business–make a profit, be honest in decisions and relationships—AND know God and make Him known?

This is a pertinent question for us. Nearly every believer is in the workplace in some way.

It is worthy of our attention. Worthy of conversation time with God, to ask Him about it, to gain understanding of His thoughts about it. We want His dreams for us in our daily lives. He has good plans for us, which He wants us to discover in our workplace environment.

Here is the truth about an aspect of God’s goodness: He created men and women, as living containers of Jesus on the earth, to be scattered throughout neighborhoods, cities, regions, nations. These men and women are designed to bring the knowledge of God and His kingdom into every part of society.

Ponder this. Ask Him about it.
